This is a good finish for walls in poor condition, any imperfection
blends in with the finish. For use mainly on walls.
Stoneblocking
is used on interior walls to create outdoor stone finishes. In the
past 2 centuries this method was used mainly in hallways and stairwells
of chateaux and stately homes. Nowadays it is used anywhere in an
interior room to create a stone look. This can be achieved either
with a highly textured paint which will give a more rustic effect,
or a traditional paint with a softer finish.
Ragging
creates a definite print, with a very sharp effect. Suitable mainly
for walls.
Stippling
is a textured, mottled effect which consists in a ‘pin-prick’
effect of colours. Suitable for walls, furniture and objects.
Liming
is a beautiful finish for open-grained woods such as oak. Suitable
for furniture, wooden floors and kitchen cabinets.
Marbling
is the art of painting walls or furniture to look like real marble.
Very effective on table tops and free-standing baths.
